Planktown in Springfield

I have been frequenting this establishment since the week they opened. Tonight my soon to be wife took me to Plank Town (the place we first met) for my birthday. We were seated and over the course of 30 minutes, our server walked by multiple times without so much as a glance or attempt at taking our order. The restaurant was nearly empty as well. I made it known to a server who was kind and apologetic. She gave us drink vouchers for the future as we proceeded to leave. I understand things happen but the disregard ruined our special night she had planned. I felt compelled to write this review in the hope your business can improve and do better in the future.

Main street burger was delicious! The pickled cucumbers were so delicious. Streetcar Stout was awesome. The staff was really fast and polite. We were able to sit down and have a lovely dinner. The nachos were also super good for an app and the cheese sauce was delicious and unique. The housemade tortilla chips also just contributed to how awesome the nachos were. The fries with the burger weren't really salted, at least for my taste.

Delicious! Loved the Hunter's Tea! Great drinks and fantastic food! Waitress was knowledgeable in their Gluten-Free faire and I was easily able to modify a tasty meal to be both vegan and gluten-free. Two thumbs up from this typically difficult customer!

My partner and I have breakfast at Planktown almost every weekend, by far one of the best breakfasts in the Eugene/Springfield area. We have had dinner a few times as well and their food is just all around great. Service is wonderful as well, we love this place!

Plank Town is a cool spot with some great decor, and if course good beer. They have a pretty good selection and the beer is no nonsense just good. I enjoy going there most for brunch on Sunday, they have an excellent eggs Benedict and some other great stuff. The staff is typically really friendly as well. The only negative I've had was them running out of some things. Parking is on the street, but there is a pay to park lot on the corner of the block.

Sunny window, delightful afternoon. The beer flight trays are a nice way to sample the beer. The food... our plates where empty of all but the smallest particles of our meal when our waiter returned. The waiter was well informed and friendly. I will eat here again.

Server was excellent. Made sure we knew the specials. Food was soo good. Gluten free options amazing. The chicken and waffles omg I haven't had fried chicken in 5 yrs was so tasty. Hubby loved the shrimp and grits he said it was very flavorful.

The atmosphere is unique and interesting. The food was surprisingly bland. I had a chicken nacho plate that cost twice what it would almost anywhere else and you get about half what you would anywhere else. The corn salsa was not fresh.The garlic fries were good so a trusty appetizer helps numb the real food.Even the kids meal was priced at a premium for sub par food. It's a unique atmosphere but don't expect your first date to love the experience as much as the photos.

Sat outside on a nice evening, service/food was great...took a friend from out of town there..we were all very happy.

We tried all three flights of beer, and had the spinach artichoke dip. All delicious! Great for an afternoon.

Comfortable dining, delicious food and great service from Dan made for a lovely lunch for 11 diners. There were specials for lunch in addition to the menu's offerings. The beverage menu was large and tempting but being lunch we did not partake. I'm going back! Yummy!

Next stop, Plank Town! Every single beer is amazing. They have cask selections! No joke.

Plank Town Brewery was good, not spectacular. The food was good, a little pricey. The cheese dip was very tasty and a nice selection of craft beers.

Had never been to this place before but the service was fast and friendly and the food and drinks were good. Try the Bhan Mi sandwich, it was delicious.

Plank Town is a good spot to go for lunch especially if you work near downtown Springfield. At lunchtime it is lively but not too loud as to prevent conversations. The food is pretty good and they have creative specials. I like how the tables are cut from logs with live edges consistent with the "plank town" theme. The servers are friendly and the service is quick without making you feel rushed.

Great atmosphere, good beverages, and pretty good food. Sometimes they try a little too hard with the creativeness. Example: a Cuban sandwich isn't a Cuban without mustard, and pineapple is unnecessary.

I possibly just had the best meal of my life today. I thought nothing in life would top the creamy polenta and duck I had abroad in Paris but Jesus effing Christ- the shrimp and grits is creamy, Smokey, sweet with the perfect amount of spice. 10/10 amazing. There isn’t a single thing I could possibly dream of to improve my experience today.

Cheers to Plank Town! Ordered online during the Covid partial shutdown. Accidentally picked up the wrong order. They remade what we ordered and let us keep the other one, and gave us a free pint AND refunded half of our bill. In a time when restaurants are really struggling, they still go above and beyond for their customers! And the Veggie Burger was amazing!!

Excellent service. The staff have great personalities, make great recommendations and service is quick! Love this place. Last time I was there they had a great cider on tap and not just a run of the mill cider, but one with originality and flair. I also picked up a growler of Hobbits Habit. I really liked the Barrel Aged Om Gnome too, yum!

I really enjoyed their food super bomb but mostly fried options. The salad we god was delicious though! Also I got a really delicious drink I highly reccomend : electric koolaid

Came here with a big group of people and were seated quickly. Our service was great and the food was super good. The shrimp and grits/oyster po boy were big hits that I'd highly recommend.

It's been more than three years since I first visited Plank Town. Last time I went it was a bit on the noisy side, but this time it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter was awesome and knew his bears. We ordered nachos and a burger, and I must say, both my wife and I were really impressed with the nachos. The beer was great too! I'll definitely be going back.

Wonderful atmosphere,relaxing, unbelievably good food! SO flavorful,and unique offerings. Prices are very reasonable. Craft beer variety is awesome, and the waiters can be relied on to take time talking to you,and offering suggestions. We were NOT disappointed!

This place makes fantastic burgers and sandwiches. Pair that with the beer and you have a mighty fine lunch. We'll come back again next time we're in the area.

Pretty good food and drinks have been there several times and will probably go back

I was just passing through on the greyhound with a 5hr layover and plank town blew me away with their amazing service and perfectly crafted drinks. Allison whom was my bartender suggested Hunters Tea for a delicious spiced rum infused with red wine and orange bitters served not too hot bit just right to warm up a cold passer by. These fish n chips were the perfect size and were amazing. Including the coleslaw which I normally cannot stand. I ate all of it first before everything. It was definitely the absolute best I've ever had. I will definitely try to come back here in my future travels! Thank you Allison and plank town brewing company for a perfect environment and inviting hospitality. Top 3 breweries I've ever been too!

The food is hearty in portion size and ingredients. They give a heap of good fries, but watch out for the plentiful flies. Staff are all friendly and attentive. Definitely would recommend as a pub to grab a big bite at.

Our server was excellent. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed our lunch here today we've eaten here several times and will return.

Great pub in Springfield! We just moved to the area from Seattle, and are so happy to have come across this place. Consistently good beers, all the service we've had was prompt and friendly, and the food was worth recommending. My ONLY critique was how disappointed we were with the nachos we ordered (cheese sauce is never what I want or expect on nachos outside of a sports stadium). But the overall experience makes up for it.

Super fun, very accommodating to our large party who arrived at different times. Can't say enough good things about the wait staff! Glad to have chosen this restaurant for our party!

Best burger and brew you could ask for. They'll serve it rare if you ask and the fries have delicious salt along with a tasty sauce. On top of all this, the place looks great and has a wonderful atmosphere. Taking into account what you're getting the price is good. This is definitely the place you should eat in Springfield.

Food was awesome! The kitchen is definitely playful, the server commented that the sauces are homemade and the BBQ was to die for! Curried with a hint of sweet.

Been here a few times on my travels to Eugene, and I'll keep coming back! Great food & great beer!

Really great craft beers, a few were not available but still enjoyed them. Hobbitt's habit was fantastic. Food was delicious. Really nice atmosphere and great servers. Will definitely visit again when I am in town

Where do I start...excellent brewing company and restaurant. I was very impressed with the staff, even the person being trained that helped me. Very impressive and awesome customer service. John at the bar, was very knowledgeable and professional. I felt at home and enjoyed my time. The food was on time and tasted great. I enjoyed their house 🍔 and it was very flavorful. The beer was astounding and what made the difference was the knowledge from the staff. They knew what I ordered and explained everything beautifully. The lemon drop IPA was my favorite. Truly amazing flavor and bitterness. I’ll have to stop by again when I am in the area...I was traveling for business and found this great spot. Good job Plank Town Team. Thanks!

Great place to grab some lunch and a beer. Like the open floor plan and large tables. Great beer too.
